UNISON is the largest trade union for staff in schools and local authority education departments.
Our members include teaching assistants, nursery staff, administrators, secretaries, policy officers, technicians, cleaners, caretakers, school meals workers - in fact anyone working in schools or supporting education.

(28/05/2010) You will recall that the 2009 pay negotiations concluded with an agreement to set up three joint working groups covering Pay Framework and Data Research, Sustainability Issues and Equality. The Equality Working Group (EWG)has now met twice to draw up and agree the survey questions.

(30/11/2009) Networks don’t replace traditional consultation processes with trade unions and other academic bodies – the trade unions support the setting up of staff networks and in some cases played a crucial role in setting them up.
