This year the NHS reaches 60 years old. And thanks to UNISON’s 1.3 million members the NHS has a healthy future.

UNISON is the biggest healthcare union and we are proud to have been organising in the NHS since day one.

As the NHS celebrates its 60th anniversary year, UNISON is leading the call for continued investment and support to sustain our NHS and its staff for the next 60 years and beyond.

"When I was abroad a twelve year old boy was knocked down on his way to school. He was not carrying proof of his medical insurance. By the time his mum got there he died in her arms having received no treatment. Free for all prevents such tragedy in this country."
