Due to an attack by an internet virus, the Online Conference System (which branches were using to submit motions for the Local Government Conference) has been taken offline.

Pay consultation closes tomorrow

(6/5/08) Branches across England, Northern Ireland and Wales have been holding workplace meetings and ballots to find out what our members in local government think about this year’s pay offer of 2.45%.

2008 Pay and Conditions Submission to the JNC for Youth and Community Workers' Staff Side Claim

The 2008 pay claim for Youth and Community Workers was submitted to the Employers on 15 April 2008. The Staff Side agreed to submit the claim earlier this year to enable the employers to consult their constituent authorities and respond at the JNC scheduled for 26 June. Two further dates have been set for JNC meetings to continue pay negotiations if necessary, before the pay anniversary date of 1 September.
