Pay Claim Update

(13/08/2007) There was a meeting last week between NAPO and UNISON officials and management to discuss this year's pay claim. The unions are very clear that the pay claim needs to be treated as separate from the strategic pay review to avoid any delays.

Unfortunately the Treasury have issued guidelines stating that basic pay settlements should not exceed 2%, which is obviously a challenging starting point for negotiation. The meeting looked at a range of possibilities, and Cafcass wil cost the options discussed and bring some more formal proposals to the next meeting in September.
