Black membersThe Greater London Region Black Members Committee meets 4 times a year to discuss and action the Black Members annual work programme. The GLRBMC also receive reports back from representatives who sit on all Regional Committees/Council, the National Black Members Committee, SERTUC and other regional forums such as the Regional Diversity Forum.The work of the RBMC is primarily organised and carried out by small working groups consisting of elected members from the Committee. Members are elected to the Regional Black Members Committee in line with the GLRBM Constitution. Committee members are elected from each Service Group that UNISON organises in, ie Local Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Water, Gas, Electricity and Transport. The RBMC elections are carried out annually by receiving branch nominations, followed by a secret ballot with ratification at the Greater London Region Black Members Annual General Meeting. The RBMC operates the UNISON Rule Book commitment on proportionality and fair representation in all elections for the Committee. The functions of the RBMC are:
RBMC representatives also attend UNISON Annual Delegate Conferences as observers and also represent UNISON at the TUC Black Workers Conference. The current Executive Officers of the Greater London Regional Black Members Committee are:
