Campaigning ideas for branches
UNISON branches are out there making a real difference to people's lives. Now we need to make a real difference to politicians' views, and here are some engaging, persuasive things you can do.
Speak out
If you haven't done it already add your branch's voice to our campaign to defend your community's health, safety, education and environment. If you have - thanks. Now it's time for your branch to take the next steps.
Get to work
Order posters and leaflets here and get them out in your workplaces. Talk to non-members about the campaign - they may join UNISON and add their voice.
Spread the word
Encourage all branch members to talk to their friends and family about the campaign and to spread the word on sites like Facebook and Twitter. Why not suggest they use the 'Share this site' link at the bottom of this website?
Don't forget to make contact with local organisations representing people who use public services. Talk to them about UNISON's campaign and encourage them to work with your branch to defend services.
Set a public challenge
Write to your local newspaper questioning any articles they run about the need to cut local services to make savings. There is plenty of information on these pages to help you with this.
