Customising your own materials
The best way to recruit new members is to rally them around a specific issue at work. In this case, it may be best to create bespoke materials that explain what's at stake and what UNISON is doing about it. The following design elements and templates can help you create clear, effective materials that encourage UNISON membership. Regional logo
Service group logos
General cartoons
Recruitment cartoons
Recruit the world! - Languages other than English. As the world of work changes we are increasingly likely to have workmates whose first language isn't English. For this reason UNISON has produced two recruitment items that will help you recruit in 15 of the most commonly encountered languages. Ideally, you should use these recruitment materials with the assistance of a fellow member who speaks the language of the workers being approached. Most importantly, when workers complete the application form they should do so in English as this will speed up the processing of the form. Even though the form is printed using the script of their own language our membership processing system is not able to recognise any lettering other than English.

"Nobody asked me!"
The single biggest reason people give for not having joined a trade union
To read Acrobat PDF files you need Acrobat Reader software, which is available free of charge from the
Adobe website in both PC and Mac format.
Note: Zip files are compressed "suitcases" of logos, JPEGs, EPS files and the like. You will need software such as WinZip or Stuffit Expander to "unstuff" the zip files. |
