HOPE not hate 2008: Celebrating modern Britain

Unite against fascism

What can I do?

UNISON members played a key part in preventing a BNP breakthrough last year. We proved local action works. But there is no room for complacency. There are lots of things you can do to stand up for a modern multicultural Britain and keep the BNP out.

  • Find out if the BNP is standing in your area by checking the map on the right
  • Get in touch with your branch to find out what's going on where you live and what you can do to help
  • Are you registered to vote? Make sure you are - and encourage your friends and family to register too. Visit dopolitics.org to find out more
  • Download campaign leaflets and posters from our website to pin up on your noticeboard at work. Spread the word among your friends, family and workmates. Explain the issues and encourage them to vote
  • Take part in Hope not hate events and celebrate the racial, religious and cultural diversity that makes Britain great, and stay informed about other campaigning activities taking place in your community by checking on the Unite Against Fascism website
  • Most importantly,

    use your vote!

Vote to keep the BNP out on 1 May
You have the chance to send a clear message to the BNP: Keep out, you're poison. Use your vote to stop the BNP sowing its seeds of hate in our community. Use your vote to stop the BNP from destroying our democracy. Use your vote to protect our public services and the workers who provide them.
